Esme's Revenge on General Hospital: [Spoiler] a New Ally?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but General Hospital had Nikolas call it entirely correctly this week when he told Spencer that Esme was still the same viper she always was. So in the wake of Nikolas’ flight with his and Esme’s son Ace, she’s sure to hatch the mother of all revenge plots. Even if she wasn’t a she-devil through and through, she’d probably do the same thing!

Of course, the deck is stacked against Esme. She doesn’t have the resources to have private eyes search high and low for Nikolas and Ace. She can’t hire goons the way her babydaddy can. And she doesn’t exactly have many people in her corner… except, that is, for Nikolas’ mom, Laura.

Having been a bit of a hellraiser herself in her youth, Laura has taken Esme under her wing and showed her the kind of love that she could never expect from her actual mom, batty Heather Webber. And since Laura is unaware that Esme has remembered her shameful past, she could easily be conned by the young woman in whom she so wants to believe.

So what Esme couldn’t possibly do on her own — move heaven and earth to locate Nikolas and drag him back to Port Charles with Ace — she very well could accomplish with Laura’s help. Once Nikolas and his son are returned to town, all hell would break loose, with the mayor using her influence to ensure that Esme’s baby isn’t again ripped out of her arms and even going so far as to see that Nikolas is prosecuted for his misdeeds.

“My son is many things,” Laura might reckon. “Foremost among them is ‘in need of being taught a lesson.'”
