Tammy and Victoria Webster, both of Greenport, were arraigned on over a dozen drug and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Dec. 18.
According to prosecutors, officers raided the couple’s home in early December 2023 and found Tammy Webster in her car with fentanyl and cocaine.
Inside the home, they found Victoria Webster with the couple’s 2-year-old child.
A search of the residence turned up 234 grams of fentanyl and 44 grams of cocaine that was stored inside a kitchen cabinet, prosecutors said.
The drugs were reportedly kept right beside food items like ice cream cones and brownie mix.
Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is nearly 100 times more potent than morphine. Just two milligrams of the drug are enough to kill someone, according to the DEA.
Officers also reported finding a digital scale, drug packaging material and several cell phones in the home, along with over $50,000 in cash.
“These two defendants were allegedly in possession of fentanyl and cocaine, which are two of the deadliest drugs poisoning our neighborhoods,” said Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney.
“To make matters worse, these drugs were allegedly found near food items which could have turned deadly if those items were consumed by others, including their innocent child.”
Tammy Webster, age 33, is charged with the following:
